Our July 2002 Crop Circle Tour Group Album

For the first time Kallista and I have decided to share some of our photos, and those of group members who have given permission, from our spectacular July 2002 week-long tour of the English crop circles, Stonehenge, and other sacred and historical and cultural sites of beautiful Wiltshire, England.  We do request that No copies be made of any photos displayed here without our express written permission.  We hope they give you a glimpse into our trip and inspire you to share these treasures with us in 2003 or beyond!   Thank you.

Shirley's photo of Our Wiltshire hotel with our gray and red vans parked in front.  Our tour spends 7 nights in this charming country hotel, with a full English breakfast served every morning.  The owner-manager, an accomplished chef, also serves dinner for our group on at least two evenings during the week.
Shirley's photo of Chet telling the history of the Ogbourne St. George church.    This historic church lies directly on the St. Michael Ley Line,
whose energies we dowsed during our morning visit!
Chet's photo of the "Rope Squares" circle in Alton Priors' South Field - one of the first circles we visited.  Note the faint larger ring around the July 2002 crop circle - this was an ancient ceremonial "henge" that marked a Neolithic Stone Circle - but the circle and henge were destroyed hundreds of years ago.  Nonetheless, the ground discoloration still maks it clearly from the air!  The modern-day crop circle is completely inside.
One of the most intricate of the 2002 crop circles, a beautiful hexagram in ripe wheat, appeared overnight on July 17 at the side of Wiltshire's most ancient Neolithic site - known as Wind Mill Hill.  It is about 2 miles from the Avebury Stone Circle and a field where crop circles have appeared several times in the last decade.  Shirley's aerial photo was taken during our helicopter ride - included in the tour price.  Some called this formation the "Dream Catcher".
Here's a photo of one of our group members dowsing the energies inside the Wind Mill Hill "Dream Catcher" formation while others walk about  in the distance.  During our July 2002 week-long tour we actually went into 10 separate crop formations in Wiltshire.  Most were in wheat but some were in barley.  There is nothing like the smell of the fresh grain crop, especially in the morning when dew or light rain has fallen!
The harvesters don't wait for tourists interested in the circles that form in local farmers' fields.  Here we just missed this beautiful Double Spiral formation that came at West Overton adjacent to the A-4 London-Bath road.  Appearing in June in Barley, by the time we arrived in late July the crop was ready for harvesting.  But the formation's "ghost image" can be clearly seen in Shirley's aerial shot, taken on the afternoon of July 26.
One of the things that make our tours such fun is meeting Chet & Kallista's researcher friends inside newly-formed circles.  Having gone to England every summer for 10 years, they know most of those investigating this ongoing enigma.  Here we discuss the healing energies of the Stanton Bridge Crescent formation with Dr. Nan Lu, Chinese acupuncturist and healer from New York, who brings his own group of students to visit the crop circles each summer.
During our tour, in addition to going into crop circles, Stonehenge and other local sights, we always find time to sample the flavors of some of Wiltshire's finest pubs and restaurants.  The Waggon & Horses pub is near Avebury on the A-4 road and has been a favorite "watering hole" for "croppies" (crop circle enthusiasts) like us for many years.  Its architecture is typical of local English villages with beautiful flower boxes and ivy covered walls.
One of the highlights of our week is the evening visit to Stonehenge.  As a "research group," we have special permission from English Heritage (for a fee, naturally!) to spend one hour inside this famous 3,500 year old monument so we can actually feel the stones, dowse their energies, walk the site as the ancients did or meditate.  We always close our sunset visit with 10 minutes of group "toning" inside the innermost circle of Blue Stones that sometimes vibrate in response.  It's always a moving experience.
Because Kallista's and my research interests include working with crystals and specifically with crystal skulls, ancient and contemporary, some of our crystal friends always accompany us to England each summer - to experience and store the healing and restorative energies we have found in many crop circles.  Here, from left to right, are "Maxwell," a small dark-citrine skull; "Gaia-Luz," our main citrine skull; "Skye," our blue obsidian glass skull; and "Opal-Essence," of quartz crystal with rainbow inclusions.  They are enjoying the beautiful center "bouquet" of wheat in one of the 2002 crop circles our group visited.  I think this was in one of the "apples" of the July 15th "Tree of Life" formation that appeared in Alton Barnes' East Field, where a signficiant crop formation has come every summer since 1990.  It was the very first formation our group visited in July 2002.   Join us in the fields next July-August !
