The Apotheosis of Washington in the eye of the Rotunda of the U.S. Capitol. Encoded within this fresco is a major Secret of the American Rite.

We’ll go to the Capitol and stand in the center of the Rotunda.  When we look up we’ll see George Washington in a ring of stars and looking down at us. This fresco, painted by Constantin Brumidi in 1865 is called The Apotheosis of Washington. The word "apotheosis" means literally the raising of a person to the rank of a god. Just like the ascension images of Jesus and Buddha Washington rides upon a rainbow.

If you stand high up in the Rotunda and look down towards the distant floor below, you have a vision reminiscent of Hollywood's portrayal of Star-gates.  We'll take that amazing view and see the Star-gate for ourselves!

As William Henry will explain throughout this amazing tour the alchemical transformation of man into a god and the concept of the Stargate are the keys to unraveling the mysteries of the American Rite.

We’ll begin in Nashville at William Henry's weekend Conference, including a tour of the magnificent "Star-gate Park," located at the base of the Tennessee State Capitol.   It’s officially known as the Bicentennial Mall and is the sister complex to the National Mall in Washington D.C.   William will explain its significance and why it includes a full-scale replica of Athen's historic Parthenon, complete with a replica of the Pallas-Athena goddess once worshipped there.   The Mall symbolizes the Path to Higher Consciousness.    Nashville’s Parthenon is home to a 42-foot tall statue of a gilded Pallas-Athena. It’s the tallest indoor statue in the western world.  Stunning. Magnificent. Gorgeous! These words only begin to capture the beauty of Nashville’s Athena. Here’s your chance to commune with the Goddess of wisdom!   We’ll explore the role of the Mother Goddess, especially how Isis, the ruler of sacred and secret places, was transformed into America, Goddess of the new American Rite.

From Nashville we fly to BWI - Baltimore/Washington International Airport and take a short coach ride to Washington DC.  After checking into our hotel, we'll spend the afternoon at the US Capitol "stargate" and see the historic National Mall.  The next day we will see two major monuments of American Freemasonry, the external (visible) branch of this ancient, mystical brotherhood.   Benjamin Franklin, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton and other  Founding Fathers were Freemasons.   We 'll tour the Washington Scottish Rite Temple near Dupont Circle and after lunch have time to visit the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials along the Potomac Tidal Basin.

The next day we'll continue our in-depth look at the founding role of the nation's first "Commander in chief" - Masonic general and proud Virginia landowner, George Washington, as we head south to his family estate at Mount Vernon, VA; followed by a visit to the George Washington Masonic Memorial in nearby Alexandria VA.  Is this monument a re-creation of Solomon's Temple in Jerusalem or possibly the ancient Alexandria library?

Then it's off to historic Philadelphia, home of the Continental Congress, where we’ll see the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall, the Egyptian exhibit at the Penn Museum and hear a new presentation by William Henry.   We'll  also have time time here to explore the  key role of Masonic scientist, politician and diplomat, Benjamin Franklin, in the shaping of this Republic and of its American Rite.

Finally, on Sunday, May 2, we will fly back to our home cities and towns from Philadelphia's international airport, having discovered the true "American Rite" of these United States lies in its esoteric heritage, art and architecture, brought together by an inspired and determined band of people dedicated to the possibility that human beings can transcend our mortality and ascend to Olympian status alongside the ancient gods and goddesses of the Elysian Fields.

NOTE:    Participants will meet Chet & Kallista Snow plus William Henry at our NASHVILLE lodgings at about 6 PM on Friday, April 23, 2010, and the tour will end at our Philadelphia hotel on Sunday morning, May 2, 2010.   We recommend "Open Jaw" air tickets: from your home airport to Nashville TN and returning from Philadelphia PA to your home city.   Please talk with me before finalizing air tickets.
